American EV automaker Fisker Inc. recently shared a business update, outlining several changes in the works, including leadership moves, accelerated deliveries, and potential partnerships with other OEMS. However, one less encouraging update is Fisker’s announcement it is once again lowering its production targets for the year to prioritize liquidity.

The Fisker Ocean has been out and about for a few months now, but most media drives have been relatively short test drives so far. But with the LA Auto Show in town, Fisker gave us an Ocean overnight to have a little unsupervised testing time with its new electric SUV.

California-based electric automaker Fisker saw its shares plummet 14% yesterday after reporting big losses and lower sales than expected. Now, the American startup expects to slash its production forecast for this year by as much as 30% of initial expectations.

As Fisker looks to hit its production stride (and annual output target) going into Q4, it’s also preparing for its 2024 model year. Beginning today, Fisker has lowered the price of its top-tier Ocean Extreme trim by $7,500 – but if you’re looking to get any other version of Ocean, best to buy now, as MSRPs are set to see some price increases when the 2024 models go on sale next month.

Fisker Inc. has shared intentions to increase US deliveries of its flagship Ocean SUV while simultaneously ramping up overseas production to 300 units per day. While the scaling is encouraging news, can the American automaker still hit its 2023 production guidance after lowering its target once already?

California-based Fisker Inc. dropped its Q2 production numbers Friday, showing over 1,000 Ocean electric SUVs built over the past three months. Although this is up significantly from the first quarter, the total falls short of Fisker’s guidance due to supplier challenges.

Two and a half years after beginning development of its flagship EV, the Ocean, Fisker Inc. is delivering it to its first US customers. As a Southern California-based automaker selling an EV named after the water it’s headquartered near, it is quite on-brand that the first US deliveries of the Fisker Ocean begin in the Golden State. Fisker Inc. announced that it will soon begin selling (and possibly producing) its flagship Ocean SUV in China. Executives from the American automaker recently visited Shanghai and discussed collaboration opportunities in the country, which has enabled plans for a delivery center opening this year followed by first Ocean deliveries in 2024.

Reservation holders who have been waiting patiently for Fisker Ocean deliveries to begin here in the states may see the new SUV in their driveways as early as this month… as long as they sprang for one of the top tier trims. Fisker is reporting that the Ocean Extreme SUV has been certified for US sales by the EPA and garnered a 360 mile estimated range. Not bad.

Fisker Inc. has released its Q1 financial report for 2023, and although there is some room for celebration as early deliveries of its flagship SUV (sort of) roll out, there is much work to be done on the production side to come close to previously announced output guidance. Today also brought a progress update of the Fisker PEAR, a new version of the Ocean, and plans for more EVs.

American EV maker Fisker Inc. (NYSE: FSR) delivered its first electric Ocean SUV model to a customer at its new facility in Copenhagen, Denmark Friday.

Fisker Inc. has just confirmed regulatory certification in Europe that will allow sales and deliveries of the first Ocean SUVs to reservation holders. Fisker has taken a unique dual homologation process for both Europe and the US simultaneously, and while deliveries overseas appear just over a week away, reservation holders in the US might have a wait quite a bit longer.

Fisker Inc. shared its Q4 and full 2022 results with investors this morning, detailing the progress of its flagship Ocean SUV; an update on its second EV model, the PEAR; and a report of operational results that were “better than expectations.” While the American automaker continues its work to deliver its first EV to customers, it is projecting positive growth numbers in 2023. Fisker Inc. has announced Level 2 and DC Fast charging network ChargePoint as its North American partner to support its incoming EVs. The collaboration will provide future Fisker Ocean owners with access to over 400,000 roaming ports, including 16,700 fast chargers.

American EV automaker Fisker Inc. has just hit a major company milestone years in the making. Contract manufacturer Magna Steyr has officially begun production of the Fisker Ocean SUV at its carbon neutral facility in Graz, Austria. With Magna’s help, this second iteration of the Fisker brand continues to prove the naysayers wrong while moving to deliver a truly unique looking EV.

According to its financial results report for Q3 2022 released today, Fisker remains on schedule to begin production of its flagship Ocean SUV two weeks from now. The American EV automaker is also reporting over 62,000 combined reservations and orders ahead of a four phase production plan that’s expected to produce 42,400 units by the end of 2023. Outside of the Ocean, Fisker also shared a progress report of its second EV – the PEAR.

Magna Steyr – an Austrian-based contract manufacturer owned by Magna International – recently shared aspirations to enter the US market and produce vehicles in a climate-friendly facility in North America. The facility overseas currently manufactures the Jaguar I-Pace and will begin production of the Fisker Ocean in November. Based on revised terms for US federal tax credits, could a move by Magna happen?

We have officially passed the halfway marker for the 2022 fiscal year, and those quarterly reports are starting to roll in. Fisker’s Q2 update came this morning, showcasing a decent appetite for its flagship Ocean SUV, alongside some updates to the progress of the next two Fisker models to follow.

Fisker Inc. is asking its Ocean One reservation holders to shell out an extra $5,000 in a nonrefundable deposit for a “pre-order” on top of the $250 previously required to secure a reservation for the electric SUV. According to the American automaker, the $5,000 is considered a downpayment and applies to reservations for the Ocean One Launch Edition only.
